Note: The image is out of date. Prince Joachim and Princess Alexandra have two sons: Nikolaj and Felix. Also, Prince Joachim and Princess Alexandra have recently been divorced. Prince Frederik has an un-named child. Queen Margrethe II ascended to the throne in 1972 but she has never been crowned. No Danish monarch has been crowned since Denmark became a constitutional monarchy in 1849.
